Worship

Saturday 5:30 PM  |  Sunday 9:30 AM

Every weekend worship service includes music, prayer, Scripture reading, preaching, and the celebration of Holy Communion. Everyone is welcome to join in the Lord’s Supper at St. John’s.

Both services are similar, with the same sermon and often much of the same music. Saturday evening services are especially intimate and casual.

Holy Communion, the meal of Christ’s body and blood given and shed for you, is a table of welcome open to all people of all ages.

Children are warmly welcome! We will be very happy to have your whole family with us. There are activity bags for young ones in a cupboard at the back of the worship space, and there is a restroom with a changing table as well. Should you wish to use it, there is a nursery room available in the north wing.

During the school year, Children’s Church takes place during our worship service. Children are invited to leave worship with the teachers early in the service, enjoy a lesson and craft during the readings and sermon, and return before Communion.

Wear whatever makes you comfortable. Some worshipers dress up slightly, but you will not be out of place in jeans.

Join us for worship on April 21st at 9:30 a.m.

The Luther College Cathedral Choir, an ensemble of Luther's acclaimed music program will add their voices to our worship service
